Kirsty is an equine musculoskeletal therapist based in Mansfield in the High Country of Victoria Australia. Kirsty has been running her business Equine Dynamics since the beginning of 2010, and this has evolved over the years into a business offering a very unique range of modalities. Kirsty started her educational journey in 2008, when an injury to her own horse led her to study with Equinology.
This awakened a passion that has almost become an obsession, and has led Kirsty to study from many different industry leaders, most recently in the USA studying Equine Osteopathy at the Vluggen Institute (only the 2nd Australian to do so). Kirsty’s training and experience includes Equine Osteopathy, Advanced Sports Massage, Myofascial Release, Saddle Fitting and Shoeing Dynamics, Kinesiology and Biomechanical taping techniques, Biomechanics, Conformation, Lameness and Gait Abnormalities, Anatomy and Dissections, Rehabilitation, Photonic (cold laser) and Microcurrent Therapy, and Vet Nursing. Kirsty also has experience in riding and training, and has competed in many different disciplines including eventing, dressage, stockman’s challenge, polocrosse, campdrafting and tentpegging. She has had the opportunity to learn from high level riders and horse trainers, and is able to assist you with issues under saddle. A session with Kirsty is often quite different, and can involve any combination of the modalities mentioned depending on what the horse needs. A large part of the Equine Dynamics difference is the importance placed on physical homework, to continue the rehabilitation process. Kirsty is not a one session a year therapist, but someone who becomes a part of your horses training program and helps your horse become stronger and better balanced. A common theme when clients comment on Kirsty’s work is her ability to see and read issues that others cannot, and her ability to help horses restore correct mobility.
