RACING ROUND-UP:
Winning is great, no doubt, but there are times we are just as happy when our boys race and achieve what we want without the ultimate success.
Today after six months off the track Step In Time finished second when first-up at Kilmore over 2000m on a Heavy9 with Damien Thornton in the saddle.
With an eye to jumping later in the season, it was pleasing to see him run so well, hopefully a flat win is not far away.
The ride was excellent.

Mungerannie was also first-up in the same race, and while the trip was well short of his best, he kept hitting the line hard.
Teo Nugent fresh from Group One success on the weekend rode our champ Eddie.

On Sunday at Wangaratta, Turntyne improved greatly off a poor first-up run at Terang.
Albeit finishing seventh, he was only 4.5 lens from the winner and will derive plenty of fitness from this run. Cian MacRedmond rode.
