Authentic Community Leadership in Action
Reflecting on the 2026 Ice Cold Classic last Sunday, a massive thank you to every Manly Life Saving Club member and community volunteer who helped make it happen.
Growing from 600 swimmers to more than 1,600 in just our second year was incredible. Even better, together we helped raise almost $40,000 for One Meal and the incredible work they do supporting vulnerable people in our community.
Together with $65,000 raised at the inaugural Ice Cold Classic and $45,000 raised at the 2026 Cole Classic in February, that's $150,000 raised alone for One Meal - Northern Beaches in the past 12 months —something every volunteer, swimmer, sponsor and supporter has helped make possible.
We were very grateful to have Nagi and little Jaffle from RecipeTin Eats with us—ringing the starter's bell, signing books, presenting our place getters, serving soup and bringing so much warmth and energy to the day - so much energy and enthusiasm!
Nagi's extraordinary support of One Meal, providing more than 600 meals daily through RecipeTin Meals, has been instrumental in the organisation's growth. It's a powerful demonstration that when people, businesses and communities choose to to be amazing together, they really can make a difference.
That's what the Ice Cold Classic is all about: Manly Life Saving Club, the ocean swimming community, volunteers, sponsors and supporters coming together to create something much bigger than just a swim.
Together, we are authentic community leadership in action - working as one for the greater good.
Thank you 🙏
