“I’ve been on the water since before I could walk, and I can’t imagine life without sailing. But the Lady Skippers Race still gave me something new — the confidence to take the helm, back myself, and just go for it.

Whether it’s your first time skippering or you’ve done it before, there’s always something to learn. Don’t overthink it. Don’t doubt yourself — just do it. Put your hand up. Take the helm. You don’t need all the answers before you start… you just need to be out there doing it.”

This race is competitive, supportive, and such a fun atmosphere—on and off the water. It’s an experience that keeps sailors coming back year after year 💙

Entries for the Wynnum Manly Yacht Club Art Awards close in just ONE WEEK, and this year’s nautical theme is the perfect excuse to get inspired by our beautiful Bayside lifestyle.
