After nearly 2 years without sailing the C2 we finally put the F18 back on the water yesterday for a shakedown sail in some fresh conditions up at Lake Cootharaba. Here is some of the on board footage and communication between Ethan and I settling into our first sail together

Here it is!!! On the water footage from when it went horribly wrong for us on the 5.7 Taipan yesterday. A huge thanks to all the Hervey Bay Sailing Club volunteers both on and off the water who were ready to assist us and able to get us back to shore. Ethan... looks like we may have to put the F18 back on the water for the next regatta mate!

Some photos from today’s journey from our overnight starting point at Bowenville Reserve near Dalby to St George to Lightning Ridge with the afternoon exploring the Artesian Baths and the Green Door Sunset Tour till Peter Bradbury rolled into camp late to join the convoy now to Lake Eyre Yacht Club. Tomorrow we explore a bit more of Lightning Ridge before heading another 542km onto Cobar for tomorrow nights stop over.

It has certainly taken some more time then excepted to get this boat setup and still with plenty of tuning to do but I finally got a little breeze on Sunday to see some of the potential fun of an A Class Classic. Tomorrow night we set off on an outback road trip to Clermont, Queensland for their Outback Sailing Regatta on Theresa Creek Dam
