Nutrien Ag Solutions are holding a Waratah demonstration Fencing day at WEC. Great way to come and check the grounds out while looking at new fencing ideas.

We would like to invite you a Waratah Demonstration Day featuring the new Waratah Flex Rail! The Flex rail and the new Flex Rail Electric is the perfect option for your horse paddocks or those situations where you want something smart and safe!

To our member clubs and the wider horse community we just thought we would update you all on some of what we’ve been doing at the grounds for you all to enjoy now and in the future.

As most people know as from one of our previous posts…. our recent big achievement was the cement under the patio made possible by both WEC itself and also the member clubs WPC and SFC sharing the cost to make it happen.

Since the cement we have further improved the area with a cafe wire fence and wooden ledge. We must thank Sam Caporn who has done a brilliant job with the install and the previous WEC committee from taking an idea ….talking about it and making it happen!! It looks amazing 🤩 We have also laid some pebble around the edge of the cement to assist with drainage. Thanks to Greg Starkie again for your donation it’s greatly appreciated!! There’s still a few things to do to this area but I’m sure you will all agree that this area has come along way 👏🏻👏🏻

We are wanting to promote hiring the grounds and clubhouse at WEC.

Jump onto our website and complete the hire form if you wish to use the grounds for any of your riding purposes - grass area and arena / dressage arena / jumps or ask any questions you may have on here or send a pm! Clinic rates - Club member and non member rates available.

We are also looking to hiring the clubrooms out for events such as seminars, meetings, exhibitions, celebratory events (wakes) or groups passing through who may need a shelter for the night….please log onto the website or pm us directly. Great open venue with wood fire industrial kitchen and plenty of showers and toilets.

We recently held our WEC AGM on Tues 13 June and alot has happened around the grounds since then.

A big thankyou goes out to our last committee as we welcome in the new committee.

Each member club being SFC and WPC have 3 reps to act on their clubs behalf with their main role being a voice to WEC for their clubs ideas and also a voice back to their clubs of decisions made so that clear communication of these meetings feed back through. So if you think you might have anything that could improve the grounds or any concerns please let your reps know and these ideas can be discussed at our regular meetings.

We are looking forward to another year of getting things done! We have already started on some of these and look forward to posting them soon.

HOW GOOD IS THIS?!!

It’s been three years in the making but finally we have cement to finish off the patio.

Thankyou to Rhys from Sparrow Concrete Construction for your great work👌to Nigel and Vanessa for the loan of your tip truck and the delivery of the sand and to Kane and Jo for the use of your skid steer to spread and level the sand.

A big Thankyou must also go to Greg Starkie for donating the loads of sand.

This new addition definitely finishes this space off perfectly.
