We've received a report of road closure and 'Authorised Access Only' signs on parts of the Pemby East route - at Karri Road and Emerald Road.

DBCA has confirmed that these roads remain open, so riders can ignore those signs.

We’re looking for a Volunteer Coordinator to recruit, organise and support the volunteers who will help make the Hub a welcoming and successful part of Manjimup.

This is a paid casual role of up to 20 flexible hours per week, based at the Hub Centre in Mottram Street. It would suit a motivated, well-connected Manjimup local who enjoys working with people, getting things organised and seeing an idea come to life.

You don’t need to be a trail bike rider, but an understanding of the activity is an advantage. Strong people skills, local connections and the ability to get things done are what matter most.

Great news! Another new route has just been released. Pemby East (Wet Season) is now available at https://www.mtbh.com.au/product-page/pemby-east-wet-season

Like the recently released 'Pemby West' routes, the new 'Pemby East' route has both a dry season only and wet season (year round) variant. The difference being that the dry season route includes Moons Crossing which is impassable when the water flow is up. Only the Wet Season route is being released now, with the Dry Season route to be released later in the year.

This 126km route starts with a bitumen transport section down Seven Day Rd before hitting the gravel. It features a flowing trail section into Pemberton, then past the Gloucester tree and a gravel road section before turning off the main road into a narrower section and some single trail.

From there the trail takes in some fantastic views of pastures and dams before heading back into the forest. The trail then picks up Gloucester Road, swings under Vasse Highway and through some flowing trails in Diamond Forest.

The final run home is a pretty cruisy mix of gravel roads before hitting the blacktop at Deanmill and into Manjimup.

This trail suits enduro and adventure bikes and is 75% unsealed. There are a couple of tighter sections, but still big-bike friendly for all but beginners. Of course the weather can always impact on the difficulty level of any trail.

You can download the S2R2-W Pemby East Wet Season 1.0 route now from the www.mtbh.com.au web site. While you're there, consider joining up as a Manji Rider to get discounts on merch, 24/7 access to the Hub Centre change rooms / showers, and advance notification on new trails.

Two Day Route Closure - Inland Escape - July 24/25

The Karri Rally, a round of the WA Rally Championship will be using several roads and trails on the Inland Escape route this Friday July 24 and Saturday July 25. Road closures will be in place and there will be increased traffic on adjacent forest trails.

Given the obvious safety risks we are advising all riders that this route is to be considered closed for the two days of the event. If you are planning a ride in the area on Friday or Saturday please choose another route.

Inland Escape will reopen for riding on Sunday July 26.

Good news! The Shire of Manjimup's Works team have cleared the two large trees that were blocking a segment of the Pemby West trail on Seven Day Rd, so we've been able to re-open this attractive section of trail.

All riders who have downloaded the route have been provided with an updated .GPX file, and the full route package can be downloaded from the web site at https://www.mtbh.com.au/product-page/pemby-west
