On Thursday 26th March Manilla Tennis Club held their AGM and while we have a new post announcing our 2026 Committee a special one needs to be created for out going President and Life Member, Col Donlan. Col was also made Patron of our club for his ongoing involvement and commitment to tennis in Manilla spanning numerous decades. Now, Col will not reveal how many years exactly he has been involved in Manilla Tennis (40ish is the closest I get) but Col has served for President for the last 16 years. His knowledge of club proceedings, calm demeanour, positive outlook and quite a few cheeky words of advice and encouragement will be sorely missed on court and in our monthly Committee meetings. Thank you Col for your dedication to Manilla Tennis.

🎾 The teams are ready for our new Autumn Comp🎾 Please see image below 👇 Thanks to a very strong response we have 6 teams this comp and some new reserves. We can't welcome our new players. 😀 The comp will kick off this Thursday the 12th at 6.30pm. Memberships fees ($25) are due and balls fees of $5 are due each week. Don't forget we also have sausages and refreshments available.
For our first week we have a fun competition 🎾 If ALL your team can have a coloured accessory (i.e. socks, scrunching, sweat band) of your team's colour, the President will shout a drink of your choice.

This Thursday the 27th is the last round of games before the semi's. Kelpies (Charlie/Heidi) have the bye. 🎅 As it is the last round of we are all together before Christmas the President is shouting the BBQ and cold drinks 🎅 Hope to see you on the court with a little Christmas cheer.
