💚✨ It Takes a Village… and what a wonderful village ours is ✨💚

As the dust settles on a fabulous weekend of dressage at Wisemans Dressage, we wanted to take a moment to say a very heartfelt THANK YOU to the many people who helped make the weekend such a success.

Running a competition like this truly takes a village, and we are incredibly lucky to be surrounded by such generous and kind people.

💚✨ Medium Class Magic ✨💚

Well… it appears the eventers came, saw and conquered 😏🐴

Our Medium class on Sunday showcased some absolutely beautiful horses and lovely riding, with the win going to Rosie and her gorgeous homebred mare Heidi.

Usually out eventing up to 3⭐ level, Rosie ventured across to the dressage arena and clearly decided she may as well collect a win while she was here! 🏆✨

Even more special is the fact that Heidi is a homebred horse Rosie has produced herself — something we think deserves a very big round of applause 👏💚

A huge thank you as well to everyone who came along to enjoy a stunning autumn day, support our club and give their horses a great outing. The quality of riding and supportive atmosphere across the weekend was something really special.

💚✨ Sunday Prelim Smiles ✨💚

Sunday’s Prelim classes delivered some truly lovely riding, happy horses and plenty of big smiles around the arenas 🐴🌟

We actually didn’t need to take too many presentation photos this time because our fabulous young Reserve Champion also claimed the OTT Champion title aboard her lovely young Thoroughbred… a horse she apparently has to regularly negotiate ownership rights over with her brother 😂

We were also incredibly lucky to welcome Ann-Maree Lourey to Wisemans Dressage, on a stunning young horse this time, rather than behind a windsceen judging.

A huge congratulations to all riders who competed so beautifully throughout the day. The atmosphere around the rings was full of encouragement, laughter and happy faces — exactly how grassroots dressage should feel.

And we are fairly certain one of the biggest smiles of the day belonged to Scarlett, when she realised her Peats Ridge Equestrian Supplies vouchers might just cover a very respectable portion of a gorgeous new saddle cloth 💸🛍️😂

💙✨ Novice Superstars ✨💙

Yesterday’s Novice classes showcased some absolutely beautiful riding, talented combinations and some very lovely young horses who are undoubtedly destined for exciting things in the future 🐴🌟

Unfortunately, we missed photo opportunities with both our Champion (whose sister Zoe very kindly stepped in after a busy afternoon pencilling for us — thank you Zoe! 💚) and our OTT Champion, but we did manage to capture some lovely presentation moments with our fabulous sponsor, Australia Pty Ltd, and the wonderful Kim who joined us for presentations.

There were also several blue ribbon winners in the class who were not competing for the overall Championship honours — a huge congratulations to all of our class winners and placegetters 👏

Most importantly though, a big hand to every rider and horse who got out there, gave it a crack and rode so beautifully throughout the day. That’s exactly what grassroots dressage is all about ✨

💚✨ Prep Riders, This One’s For You ✨💚

Our Saturday Prep classes were absolutely bursting with everything we love about grassroots dressage — supportive riders, kind horses, encouraging smiles, happy dances, nervous giggles and plenty of “we survived our test!” moments 🐴✨

Unfortunately, our President was busy riding her own horse during presentations, which means we may have missed the opportunity to capture photos of our fabulous “winners and grinners” 📸😂

But missing photos certainly doesn’t take away from the wonderful achievements of all our Prep combinations. We were so proud to watch everyone out there giving it a go and embracing the spirit of Wisemans Dressage.
