School holidays done right! 🏊‍♂️
PAQ swimmers and families made the most of the break, enjoying a range of activities from team bonding and rock climbing to shared dinners together.

We had the first week off from swimming, then came back strong in the second week, training hard and finishing it off with time trials.
A highlight was cheering on Sean and Fin as they competed at the Australian Open Championships!

That’s a wrap on the Australian Open!

An incredible meet filled with excitement,
determination, and outstanding performances from our PAQ swimmers.
Competing against some of the best in Australia, the boys truly delivered.

Fin made a remarkable return, entering the Men’s Open 50m Breaststroke ranked 18th, pushing through to qualify 9th, and finishing an impressive 6th in the A Final!
An amazing comeback effort!

Sean, who usually trains with WAIS, also had a standout meet, bringing home silver in both the 100m Butterfly and 200m Butterfly (19–20 years).

A big shoutout to our head coach, Renan Piorier, for the hard work and dedication behind the scenes preparing Fin for this championship.

We couldn’t ask for better role models for our younger swimmers! Hard work, resilience, and team spirit on full display.

One more achievement from Day 3 of the Australian Open Swimming Championships!

Yesterday Sean delivered another outstanding performance in the pool, racing in the 100m butterfly and finishing 2nd in the 19–20 age group.

Fin’s incredible 50m Breaststroke Men’s Final at the Australian Open Swimming Championships!

Huge congratulations to Fin and coach! 🎉

What a day at the Australian Open Swimming Championships!

Starting off in 18th position, Fin had a phenomenal swim in the heats, dropping a PB of 0.52 to move up to 9th and qualify for the A Final! 🏊‍♂️

In the finals he dropped his time again to finish with an impressive 28.07 and take 6th overall in the men’s open 50 breast!

Well done, Fin! 👏

Sean Alcorn put together a standout swim yesterday in the Men’s 200m Butterfly at the 2026 Australian Open Swimming Championships 💥
Racing against some of Australia’s best, Sean powered through to finish 5th overall in the Open final!

Even more impressive, he placed 2nd in the 19–20 age group, highlighting his strength among the country’s rising swimmers!

On Thursday, our juniors and seniors came together to cheer Fin on as he swam his final 50m breaststroke before heading to the Gold Coast for the Australian Open Championships.
It was a great show of team spirit and support.
