🦈 MAKOS MENTAL HEALTH ROUND – $2,894 RAISED! 🦈💙

Last weekend the Mandurah Makos held our Mental Health Round, with proceeds going towards Beyond Blue — and what a day it was!

A massive THANK YOU to all of our sponsors who jumped on board with the Mako Goal Donation, along with everyone who donated on the day and throughout the past month. Your support has been outstanding. 👏💙

We’re incredibly proud to announce that together we have raised an amazing:

💙 $2,894.00 FOR BEYOND BLUE! 💙

Once again, it was another successful Makos carnival all round. Plenty of footy, plenty of laughs, a great crowd and the kids had an absolute ball with the slot car track and activities.

But most importantly, it was about bringing people together, starting conversations and supporting mental health in our community.

To our sponsors, players, families, volunteers, supporters and everyone who contributed — thank you. This result belongs to all of you.

💙🦈 VALE DAVE CLARSON 🦈💙

The Mandurah Makos family extends our heartfelt condolences to the Clarson family following the passing of Dave Clarson last Saturday after his battle with cancer.

Dave and his wife Jacquie have been great supporters of the Makos, through their sponsorship of the club with Quell Clean.

Jacquie’s daughter Sharon and Meersy, and son Doug have also been longtime supporters and part of the Makos family.

As a mark of respect, the Makos will wear black armbands this weekend in honour of Dave.

Our thoughts are with Jacquie, Sharon, Doug, Meersy and the entire family at this difficult time.

Thank you for your support over the years, Dave. Rest easy, mate. 💙🦈

💙🦈 MAKOS GIVING BACK TO OUR COMMUNITY 🦈💙

The Makos were proud to catch up with Kurt & Bailey from Halo Team Inc. and donate $250 worth of vouchers to help support the fantastic work they do in our local community.

Representing the Makos on the day were President Mark Burton (Spider) and Vice President Ant Carna (Hedgey), who were more than happy to hand over the vouchers on behalf of the club. 🦈🤝

The donation came from half of our 2024 & 2025 Fines Tin 🍻😂 — proving all those dodgy kicks, late arrivals and other questionable behaviour can actually do some good!

The vouchers were kindly provided by Kerry's Lunch Bar and The Sands IGA will go towards supplying food through Halo Team’s food kitchen for the homeless and people in need. ❤️

A massive thank you to Kerry’s Lunch Bar and Silver Sands IGA for their continued support, and to Kurt, Bailey and everyone at Halo Team Inc. for the incredible work they do.

And thanks to every Mako who has contributed to the fines tin over the last couple of years… keep the fines coming, boys — apparently we’re doing some good with them! 😂🍻
