This weekend at Dirt Trackers Kart Club marked the final race day of what has been a rain interrupted and unpredictable season.
Despite the weather challenges, hats off to all the clubs who worked tirelessly to run as much racing as possible under the toughest circumstances. Your determination kept the kids on track when it mattered most, and we are so grateful.
As we wrap up the year, I want to take a moment to thank the incredible people who have supported Josh both on and off the track.
To Challenge Marine — thank you for being the reason Josh can race every meet. Your support has been the backbone of his season.
A massive thank you to Hart-Jones Motorsport for everything you’ve done, from maintenance to advice, to simply being there when we needed you.
• Michael Hart Jones — thank you for being that calming influence for Josh when his anxiety was high. Your presence and understanding were absolutely integral to Josh being able to get on track and stay focused this season.
• Max — always by Josh’s side, cheering him on as his number one supporter.
• Annie Hart-Jones — for keeping the kids fed, watered and cared for, especially on the chaotic days when I couldn’t be there.
To Janssen Racing — thank you for your guidance, positivity, and for being such strong role models for Josh. He looks up to you all, and your encouragement has truly shaped him as both a driver and a young person.
To every person who stepped in this season, those who helped with maintenance, gave the kids a ride when I couldn’t be there, shared advice, or simply made Josh and Ben feel welcome and safe, thank you. You’ve taught this “Mum who had no idea” just enough to keep the wheels turning and the kids on the track.
One of the absolute highlights of the season was seeing Josh’s little brother join us arriving to live with us late in the season, jumping into a midget kart for the last three meets, and discovering a real passion for racing. Josh has been so proud to share the track with him, and watching their bond strengthen through racing has been something incredibly special. Thanks Phil Crofts for gifting Ben a race suit, it’s a fight to not get him to wear it everywhere he goes. Thanks Kim Pages for gifting Ben a neck brace and gloves.
To everyone who played a part in this challenging but unforgettable season: from the bottom of our hearts thank you. ❤️
