MEET THE DRIFT COLLECTIVE DRIVERS

Beau Gagliardi, South Australia 👋
Car: Black Toyota Cressida

Beau is part of Madhouse Drift Team, which becomes very obvious the moment you watch him drive. Aggressive, calculated and relentlessly committed, he brings big energy every time he hits the track. We love seeing Beau line up not just because he’s wildly competitive, but because he does it with a cheeky grin and zero fear of sending a very large car exactly where it probably shouldn’t fit.

Beau describes drifting as quite possibly the most fun you can have in a car while being completely in control and completely out of control at the same time. That philosophy suits the Cressida perfectly. It’s a big girl, but Beau drives it like size is just a suggestion.

Something people might not expect is that before drifting, Beau competed in Muay Thai. It explains a lot. The discipline, the focus, and the ability to stay calm while everything around him is chaos. If you ask his wife, it might also explain his stubbornness and refusal to back down once he’s set his mind on something.

One of Beau’s proudest drifting moments so far was winning the 2022 Hi-Tec Pro-Am Championship. The hunger hasn’t faded since.

When asked why drifting is better watched live, Beau said it best. Cameras never do it justice. There’s nothing like hearing, smelling and seeing cars blast past you at over 100 km/h while you’re standing just metres away.

The 180 as a whole is getting pretty tired, but the front end itself has seen more than its fair share of battles.

Drivers side Strut tower pushed all the way in to and hard up against the brake master, "A" piller bent, drivers side floor torn in more way than one. Passenger chassis rail detateched from the lower rad support.

And this thing still managed to push on. We have been working on getting it to this point for a while now, even though its not done yet, were so happy to see it this close!

Finally that Dewars Performance Engines Rb20 has a worthy bay!
