🌳Find us at Malvern Cricket Ground The Malvern Cricket Club was formed in 1859 and is recognised as one of the oldest clubs in Victoria. It has played at the picturesque ground nestled behind the Malvern Town Hall since its formation which is unique to only a handful of clubs

in metropolitan Melbourne. In 1908 Malvern became a foundation member of the Victorian Sub-District Association (VSDCA) and all four senior elevens continue to participate in the VSDCA. The club has enjoyed significant success winning 30 premierships which is an Association record. Eleven of those premierships have been won by the 1st XI including back-to-back premierships in 2009/10 and 2010/11, and also took out last year’s premiership also. In 2005, the club formed an alliance with the St John’s Cricket Club thus establishing a junior arm of the club which flourishes today. Malvern Juniors has approximately 200 boys and girls playing in age groups between Under 11-U15. In addition the club has approximately 75 boys and girls playing modified forms of cricket in the U9 & U10 age groups. In total the junior club has a total of 300 players registered under the Malvern banner and each Friday night, Saturday and Sunday morning fifteen junior teams represent the club. At every level, the Malvern Cricket Club is established as a significant identity in its local community.

🏏 Malvern Cricket Club’s Ladies’ Day was a great success, raising $1,975 for MAD!

Around 50 attendees came together for the event, with MAD Beneficiary Ambassador Laura Cooke sharing her story and helping introduce many in the room to MAD’s work.

Thank you to Kym Gardiner, Imogene, Vicki and Glenyse for organising the day, and to everyone who attended and supported the event.

It was a wonderful opportunity to share more about MAD and its work with the local community!
