We are a friendly lawn bowling club situated in the heart of Malvern. We are a friendly, boutique Lawn Bowling Club situated in the heart of Malvern.

We offer a great place for all forms of bowls whether it be competitive, social or barefoot bowling. We offer a great place for social barefoot bowling on Wednesday evenings from 5:00pm (including dinner) as well as competitive bowling and a place to socialise with friends. Our clubrooms can be hired for private functions.

A lot happening at the club over the next month or so. Here are the important dates for your diary -
Practice Matches - Tuesday Night (29th Sept) vs Old Haileybury at Malvern BC
Saturday 3rd October vs Middle Park at Malvern BC
Tuesday 6th October vs MCC at MCC (Swinburne Ave)
Tuesday 13th October vs Elwood At Elwood BC

Wednesday Night Competition and Dinner....Wednesday 16th Sept. with Competition starting at 4.30pm and Dinner @ 6pm

Sunday October 11th - Opening of the Green. 11am start

Saturday October 17th - New Pennant Season starts....Bring It On😃

A BIG few weeks coming up - both on and off the green. Wednesday 16th of September is when the Club is holding it's next dinner - preceded by friendly, competition bowls.
MBC members have been invited to participate in the competition being run by Old Haileybury on our green. This will be taking place under lights on Tuesday 29th September.
We have our first practice match on the 10th of October and the official "Opening of the Green' on the 11th.
So a bit going on. Also a reminder that the Saturday Social sessions are being held every weekend and Thursday afternoon club sessions will commence on the Thursday 7th.

The Green will be re - opening from this Saturday and weather permitting the first of our "Social Saturdays" will be taking place. Note that club coaches, Richard Lea and Andrew Hicks, will also be available on Wednesday afternoons from 3pm. So time to get on down to Coonil Crescent for some bowls action. Look out for some headlines about upcoming bowls events.

The club is pleased to announce that Royal Stacks have come on board, forming a new partnership with the Malvern Bowling Club. Members were given a taste of things to come when store co -owner Tatiana, delivered some sliders at drinks last Friday evening. They were greatly appreciated. There are a number of financial incentives for club members to support Royal Stacks. First of all, members, family and friends will receive 10% off the price of their burger, and Stacks will also donate $1 to the club for each burger sold. And they will then match it, meaning we essentially get $2 per burger. Funds raised will be used to pay for specific items like outdoor furniture etc. So next time you feel like a burger or are doing any sort of catering, try out Royal Stacks. Congratulations to those that took part in the finals win yesterday over Hampton Bayside. While only the one rink was won, it was won well - 24/10 - enough to ensure victory. It was tight all afternoon but team played well, ensuring the "Big Board" remained in our favour. Now we play St Kilda at St Kilda on Saturday.
Note that both Tuesday teams are in the final to be played at home. get down and support the players as they attempt to win some flags.

Good Luck to those representing Malvern BC in the first Semi Final against Hampton Bayside. By finishing third the side won the right to host the match. So get on down to Coonil Crescent this afternoon to support the team.
And on Tuesday, the club hosts Glen Waverley in another Semi Final. So it has been a good season in terms of teams playing in finals.
Also note that the Club Championships are getting to the pointy end so there is some terrific bowls being played.
So get on down to the club - the heart of bowls in Malvern.

It was a great day of Jazz, bowling and relaxing last Sunday when the club put on its inaugural "Jazz on the Green" event. It was a sell out and those in attendance sat back and enjoyed some terrific jazz music performed by Stephenson's Rockets. Some partook in playing bowls while others were happy sitting back and enjoying the ambience. Well done to Tania, who initiated and organised the event. Also thanks to Helen and Mathilda behind the Bar, hyxy on the BBQ and the band of helpers who made the afternoon such a success.

Recently a few of the club stalwarts met Amelia Hamer who is our local State member. Amelia recently replaced Michael O'Brien of whom the club had a terrific relationship. We wish Michael all the best for his future and look forward to working with Amelia going forward.
