29 enjoyed the sun and fun yesterday at social bowls.

Tomato soup made by Nancy. Cottage pies made by Andrew.
Trifle made by Vicki. Carrot cake made by Nancy. Vanilla slice made by Teresa and Sidie.
Hot chips made their way around the green during play and were enjoyed by all, thanks to Andrew.

MBC social bowls will run for another 2 weeks as the 2026/2027 season fast approaching us.

We would like to thank everyone who has supported the club, they come far and wide, during our winter season. Thanks must also go to the organisers Andrew, Peter, Maurice and Teresa as well as green keeper (Peter) and everyone that has made and donated food, raffle prizes or simply time in the kitchen washing dishes.

Usual tasty soup.
Dessert is again a mystery.

No butt bins.....
Lindsay Day engineering to the rescue.
Repurposing and recycling Wednesdays social bowls tomato soup cans.
With a Conveniently designed cigarette holder.
Lindsay is definitely an outside the square thinker.
MBC a perfect home for him.

30 people came out yesterday to enjoy social bowls. Visitors came from Balaklava, Hamley Bridge, Owen, Riverton, Port Wakefield, Wasleys, West Lakes, Modbury, Two Wells and one from across the border (NSW) as well as some of our own MBC players.

A special shout out to Vicki Smith for her delicious lasagne and salad, Andrew for the soups and puddings. Also thank you to those who donated raffle prizes, much appreciated.

Thanks to IGA Mallala once again, the go to, for ingredients.
The Beef definitely stands out, in the hands of a great cook.

Excellent lunch yesterday, that lasagna was a real one. The side salad just perfect.
Please give Vicki a very big hug from MBC.
Cheers
Andrew

Yesterday the sun was shining as 24 bowlers came out to get some vitamin D and exercise, some even broke out the shorts from retirement.

There was only one 2 game winner taking home the cash which consisted of Les C, Jim B and Teresa K.

Soup made by Andrew along with hot chips, ham and cheese toasties and dim sims were enjoyed by all, even had some visitors for lunch who stopped in on their way home from Probus.

Sweets made by Teresa disappeared quickly which was violet crumble cheesecake.

Thanks to all who donated raffle prizes and Donna for calling out the winning tickets.

The drills that were set up at the other end of the green were popular with 5 or 6 rocking up early to test their skills, think we will keep these set up each week changing them every couple of weeks.

Next weeks forecast is looking much the same so hope to see some more out enjoying the sunshine, fun and frivolity. I believe we are in for a treat for lunch, actually I know we are but I'm not telling what it is guess you will have to show up and find out.

See you all next week.
