Maleny District Sport and Rec Club

Maleny District Sport and Rec Club An incorporated umbrella organisation whose aims are to promote sport and recreation facilities for Maleny and surrounding districts.

Supporting and promoting all member club's individual endeavours, MDSRC strives to represent its affiliated organisations by positively presenting a collaborative face to all tiers of government, assisting in the search for funding and infrastucture requirements. Currently 60 district sport, service and recreational clubs have affiliated with MDSRC and there are 280 individual members. Works to promote and encourage sport and recreational activities, especially amongst children. Works in partnership with the Sunshine Coast Council and other stakeholders in the development of the Maleny Community Precinct in delivering sporting and recreational facilities for the district. Has a lease on an area of land there called Maleny Sports Park which is being developed for community sport and recreational uses.

Frisbee Golf is on Today!

Maleny's Frisbee Golf course is open today, Saturday 11th July from 2pm to 4pm at the Maleny Sports Park, Parkland Drive, North Maleny. It's free. The weather's fantastic. Bring your own frisbees or we can lend or sell you a set.

Frisbee Golf comes to Maleny

Maleny District Sport and Recreation Club is introducing Frisbee Golf (or Disc Golf) at the Maleny Sports Park, next to Beersheba Museum on the Maleny Precinct.

From this Monday, 6th July from 9am to 12pm each day until Friday 10th July, everyone is welcome to come at any time and test their skills. The kids will love it and it’s free!!

If you own a favourite frisbee, bring it along. Otherwise, you can borrow frisbees designed for play. Regular updates will be posted on MDSRC Facebook.
