CROQUET NEWS |
Club President Gary D***s has played in tournaments at Cairnlea & Horsham in recent weeks.
Gary was the winner 🥇 of Section 1 (handicap 3-9) at the Victorian GC Handicap Singles (ranges 3-14 handicap) at Cairnlea - an outstanding performance.
At Horsham, Gary finished 2nd to Col Scott (Quarry Hill) in Section 2 Block B singles. Gary teamed with Margaret Parker (Kyneton) in doubles Section 3 winning 2 of their 5 matches.

25.10.2025 match result:
Although both Maldon and Maryborough won 90 hoops each it was Maldon that won 10 games to 6. Congratulations to players of both teams for a great contest.

Thank you to the Maldon CC members who contributed raffle prizes and lovely cakes etc for the afternoon tea. Thank you also to Bonnie who helped with the morning tea/coffee and afternoon tea and who as usual did a great job selling raffle tickets.

Gary D***s had a successful singles tournament winning 9 out of 10 matches in Block B and making the quarter finals. Gary went down in his QF to the tournament winner Peter Freer. Well done Gary!

Gary D***s finished runner-up in Division 2 at this recent tournament. He is seen in the background of this photo preparing for his next game.

More of our members have been out and about representing the club at tournaments. Gayle Deary, Col Scott and Chris Scott recently played in the Murray Valley District tournament held at Charlton. Mixed results but such a lovely place to play and lots of friendly croquet players to meet and mix with.

CASTLEMAINE - MALDON CHALLENGE | Castlemaine were victorious at yesterday's match held at Maldon. Results: Castlemaine 9 games (89 hoops) to Maldon 7 (84). Castlemaine pair Nigel Harland & Steve Duffy were undefeated with 4 wins. Congratulations to Castlemaine on a great win!
