As many of you know, I closed the studio this year due to some health challenges, and I’m so pleased some of you moved over to my friend Bronte at Della Bosca Pilates in Metford.

She is a brilliant instructor and educates Pilates teachers in training through the same organisation I studied with.

Those of us who have been teaching Pilates since long before the group reformer fitness craze began, have always been concerned about the lack of regulation when it comes to new teachers and class sizes. It took 2.5 years and 100s of hours of observation and teaching for me to qualify as a studio instructor yet some group reformer instructors have as little as a weekend workshop.

There are many wonderful studios and group instructors out there so it’s always good to ask about their training to ensure you’re getting quality and safe instruction for your individual needs.

And that’s a wrap on 2023 in the Pilates studio.

Thank you to all of my wonderful clients for 421 laughter-filled classes - for the giggles, sharing, life hacks, complaining, conversations and travel stories.

I have loved living vicariously through all of your travels from Antarctica to France, Vietnam to Korea - it's been a fun year for many of you.

Thank you for choosing me to keep you healthy and moving through postpartum, travels, surgeries, hikes, skiing, playing with grandkids and horse riding. I don't take it for granted that you show up each week and I'm proud of you all for prioritising your health.

Have a very Merry Christmas and a happy New Year and I look forward to seeing you in 2024.
