confessions of a reformed people pleaser:
1. I ignored my own needs because I didn’t want to disappoint anyone
2. I thought setting boundaries would make people leave
3. I didn’t trust my decisions unless someone else agreed
4. I felt responsible for how everyone else around me felt
5. I didn’t realise how much I was abandoning myself…until I stopped

Now?

I say what I mean.
I don’t explain myself to be accepted.
I don’t shrink to make anyone comfortable.
I’m proud of the decisions I make.

Most women aren’t lost.

They’re just stuck in patterns where they keep abandoning themselves to stay comfortable, liked, or “easy.”

So instead of asking:

“Who am I?”

Start asking:

→ Where am I saying yes when I mean no?
→ What am I tolerating that I don’t actually want?
→ What would I do if I trusted myself?

Because the version of you you’re trying to “find”…

Is already there.

She’s just waiting for you to act like her.

I grew up “the naughty girl in school”, and was told I was “too much” into my adult life. At some point it broke me down and I started editing myself.

For years I became the girl who let go of all her boundaries and said yes to everything.

Yes to extra work.
Yes to plans I didn’t even want to go to.
Yes to staying in situations that didn’t feel right…

Because I didn’t want to be “difficult”
or “too much”
or “that girl.”

On the outside, everything looked fine.

But inside?

I was exhausted.
Disconnected.
And quietly thinking…“Is this really it?”

The hardest part wasn’t knowing I wanted more.
It was actually choosing it.

Because choosing it meant:
– disappointing people
– being judged
– letting go of the “safe” version of my life

And that felt terrifying.

But here’s what I’ve realised:
You’re not burnt out because life is hard…
you’re burnt out because you’re living a life that isn’t yours.

And at some point, you have to decide:
Do I keep being the version of me that feels safe…
or become the version of me that actually feels free?

I’m currently creating something for women who are DONE shrinking themselves to fit.

If this feels like you, DM me “READY” let’s chat difficult woman to difficult woman❤️‍🔥

You’re not burnt out from doing too much. You’re burnt out because your nervous system has been running a background programme for years, softening your edges, managing how much of yourself you’re allowed to show.

that’s not a workload problem. it’s identity suppression.

it started early. you were told you were too much, so you learned to lead with the version of yourself people could handle. But chronic self-editing means your nervous system never fully exhales.

This is why rest doesn’t fix it. You can’t recover from self-abandonment by lying on a beach.

You were never too much. The rooms were just too small.

they label you intimidating.
not because it’s true, but because it shrinks you and makes you easier to control.

the moment you stop shrinking is the moment everything changes 👏🏼❤️‍🔥
