Senior Men’s Development Coach Opportunity

Firstly, we’d like to thank Matt Cesaro for his outstanding contribution as our Senior Men’s Development Coach and congratulate him on his appointment to a Head Coach role in District Cricket.

With Matt’s departure, Kensington District Cricket Club is seeking applications for the role of Senior Men’s Development Coach.

Working alongside Head Coach Russell Thompson, this vital role is focused on developing our lower-grade and emerging players into future First Grade cricketers.

The position has a proven track record, with our past two Development Coaches both progressing into Head Coach roles in District Cricket.

If you’re passionate about player development and want to help shape the future of our senior program, we’d love to hear from you.

The club is also seeking Expressions of Interest from coaches interested in opportunities across our Men’s, Women’s and Junior cricket programs.

🔴 COACH ANNOUNCEMENT 🔴

The Woodville South Cricket Club is proud to announce the appointment of Tom Mackenzie as our new Senior Men’s Head Coach.

Tom brings a strong Premier Cricket background from Kensington Cricket Club, with an impressive playing resume and proven leadership credentials. A leg‑spin bowler and lower‑order batsman, Tom has enjoyed premiership success in both A Grade and B Grade, while also claiming the prestigious SACA KC Butler Medal for 2nd Grade Best and Fairest.

Most recently, Tom served as Captain of Kensington’s 2nd Grade, demonstrating his ability to lead, mentor, and drive high standards both on and off the field. We are extremely excited about the future of the Woodville South Cricket Club with Tom at the helm, and we look forward to the direction, culture, and success he will bring to our senior men’s program.

Well done to Indi Panelli who top scored with 59 today for the Australian U19 team in their win over Sri Lanka! The Aussies chased down Sri Lanka's total of 174 nine wickets down.

The match was part of a tri-series in Queensland involving Australia, England and Sri Lanka's U19 teams.

Australia's next match is on Saturday against England.
