The heavens truly opened up yesterday! Even though the courts turned into swimming pools and we needed flippers instead of sneakers, the weather couldn't wash out the incredible spirit of our club!
Despite the torrential downpour, our players and volunteers shined straight through the storm. A massive shoutout to this week's fantastic nominees for the 🌟 of the Week, brought to you by The Kensi.

⭐️1. Mya (11A): Not only did Mya brave the stormy elements early to help set up the signs and the BBQ before her own game, but she also brought immense joy to the court! She is a wonderfully zippy mid-court/defender who is an absolute ray of sunshine on a gloomy day.
⭐️2. Evie (13E): Playing her second Winter season with us, Evie is another zippy mid-court dynamo! We are seeing huge skill development from her every single week, and it is so clear to everyone watching that she just genuinely loves her netball!
⭐️3. Sabina (Umpire): We couldn’t take the court without our amazing umpires! Sabina is incredibly dedicated, turning up each week to blow the whistle despite not playing for Morialta herself. She umpires exceptionally well across all levels, bringing a perfectly balanced gentle-but-firm approach to the game. Thank you, Sabina!
⭐️4. Vindula (15E): Vindula is a versatile star who primarily dominates in goals but swings seamlessly into defense whenever we need that extra height! Unfortunately, she tweaked her ankle yesterday in the wet conditions, but she showed true Morialta spirit by spending the rest of the game cheering and supporting her teammates from the sidelines. Wishing you a speedy recovery, Vindula!
⭐️5. Scarlett (13B): Currently playing her 6th year with Morialta, Scarlett is a strong, confident, and determined defender. She reads the play remarkably well and possesses an awesome closing speed for those game-changing intercepts! Lightning fast even in the rain!
Make sure you head down to The Kensifor a well-deserved, warm pub feed to celebrate a fantastic (albeit incredibly soggy) weekend of netball. Stay dry, everyone!
