Early bird registrations for the U12 Country Skills Days are now open!

The 2026 Country Skills Days will be held on Saturday 25th July and Sunday 26th July at 10 regional academies across Victoria.

These Skill Day events are part of a development program for players of all abilities and standards from all associations located in regional Victoria. This will be an opportunity for identified athletes to be selected to participate in the U12 Country Jamboree in Echuca in September!

National Junior Classic wrap up 🏀

Our under 12 boys had a fantastic weekend of basketball playing against some of the best teams from around Australia.

Day 1 saw our boys play 2 great games, but unfortunately going down by 2 & 1 point to West Adelaide (SA) & Waverley. With a shot to win both games, the boys showed they had what it takes to compete at this level.

Day 2 brought two tougher games against Knox & Sutherland (NSW), where the boys played some good basketball but weren’t able to stay with these teams through 4 quarters.

The boys were then matched up against North Adelaide where a brilliant defensive performance lead to their first win for the weekend 38-28

This morning, the boys then played a third SA team in South Adelaide and arguably had their best game for the weekend taking home a strong win 55-33 to finish off their Classic campaign in great fashion.

For a team that hasn’t played in tournament setting for 2 months, playing against VJBL & interstate sides that play every week, our Eagles had an unbelievable weekend.
They should be very proud of their season and to finish it off with a great Classic Tournament pushing some of the top teams in Australia was so good to see.

National Junior Classic 🏀

Good luck to our under 12 Boys who are starting off the National Junior Classic campaign this morning.

Having won Country Champs in April, the boys will take on 16 of Australia’s best teams including those from Vic Metro, NSW & SA.

Junior skills sessions will be starting tonight for our under 8’s.

Junior Skills Sessions 🏀

Our program for beginners will begin this Thursday June 4th for 4 weeks this term, before another 4 sessions during Term 3.
$30 covers the 8 sessions where athletes will learn the basic skills needed for introduction to basketball.

Aimed at those aged 5-8 that haven’t started playing games.

Congratulations to Lexi Avery on her selection to represent Country Vic at this years Country Metro Challenge.

As part of the FDP program, Lexi was picked from a selection camp last weekend and will head to Bendigo later this month to take the court.

We will be holding junior open training for our youngest age groups over term 2.

Open to any registered domestic player, times listed below.

10 Boys - Friday 4:30-5:10
10 Girls - Tuesday 4:15-5:00
12 Boys - Friday 4:30-5:10
12 Girls - Monday 6:00-7:00
14 Girls - Monday 6:00-7:00
