Exceptional effort from our MLAC and GDLAC athletes who competed at the WA Race Walking Championships! 👏

We loved seeing our athletes train and compete alongside each other and supporting one another throughout the season.

A huge thank you to our Maddington coaches, who always go above and beyond—not only for our MLAC athletes, but also for athletes from across the centre. We truly appreciate the time, dedication and effort you have put into supporting and developing our athletes throughout the winter season.

We are so proud of everyone who represented our club and centre!

Congratulations to Vanessa and Carly, who proudly represented Western Australia at the Australian Cross Country Championships and Australian Road Walking Championships in Ballarat!

Vanessa took on a challenging cross country course, tackling plenty of mud and obstacles along the way, while Carly competed in the Road Walking Championships and put together a fantastic race.

What an amazing experience for both girls and a wonderful achievement to represent WA on the national stage.

Well done, girls! We’re so proud of you both! ⭐️

What an incredible day for our MLAC race walkers at the WA State Championships last weekend. Every athlete stepped up to the challenge, walked exceptionally well and gave it their all from start to finish. We couldn't be prouder of their efforts and achievements.

Results:
🥇 U10 – Emily – 1st
4️⃣ U10 – Misty – 4th
🥈 U14 – Gabby – 2nd
🥇 U16 – Tory – 1st

One of the best things about being part of Maddington Little Athletics is seeing our athletes train and grow together. Over the winter season, cross country runners and race walkers from within GDLAC came to train with our exceptionally experienced running and walks coaches.
Having the club and centre walkers of different ages and abilities training alongside each other, encouraging one another and sharing their knowledge creates such a positive team environment. It was fantastic to see that translate onto the track at States with 10 medals!!

A huge thank you to our amazing coaches for the time, dedication and encouragement they give our athletes each week not only from our club but also from our GDLAC centre. Your hard work behind the scenes plays such a huge part in helping our athletes develop and achieve their goals.

An absolutely outstanding effort from all of our walkers. Well done everyone — we are incredibly proud of you all! ⭐️
