Typical build time is between 3 and 6 months depending on final specifications and requirements, electroplated parts tend to take longer due to my suppliers work loads and any unusual individual machine can take longer. Please discuss with me if you have any impending time constraints, there are 24hrs in the day if needed although I do need to juggle, being a father, a partner and the business admin. The wheel size and geometry is selected for the height of the rider taking into consideration the intended use, including crank length. The bike can be built to excel in high speed, long distance, hill climbing, traffic and parades or a balance of these requirements.
Variations and options include:
Wheel size (virtually unlimited) most commonly from 44" through to 60"
Light weight alloy rim with 3/4" tyre or the smoother, vintage looking steel rim with 1" tyre. Old original style internal headstem with tapered front forks
Oval backbone rolled individually to fit each wheel size with lower tapering to the rear fork. High quality handmade stainless steel spokes. Handlebar style, straight and moustache with shovel end grips or straight handles. Colour availability of each part is vurtually endless with high quality powder coat finish. Electroplating in Nickel, Copper, Gold or Chrome. Acid etched gun blue finish (like metal was in 1880) with clear coating. Leather seat, plain or with custom logo. Internal wheel sign for advertising including specialised inner wheel attachments.
