Pilates. Orange Theory. Yoga. Doesn’t replace strength training.

I’m not saying don’t do them, especially if you enjoy them.

But you need to strength train at least 2x per week on a progressively overloaded program.

Your muscles, bones, joints, and metabolism will thank you later.

Most people with gout are told to avoid steak and salt...

But nobody explains what’s actually driving the issue.

Gout is connected to elevated uric acid levels, and one of the biggest contributors today is excess sugar, fructose, alcohol, and ultra-processed foods.

What’s interesting is that gout, high blood pressure, inflammation, and joint stiffness are often tied together through the same metabolic dysfunction.

That’s why instead of only focusing on symptoms, I’d focus on:
• Cutting back on sugar and ultra-processed foods
• Prioritising protein and healthy fats
• Stabilising blood sugar levels
• Improving insulin sensitivity
• Staying hydrated daily

One of the biggest things I’ve seen help people stay consistent is simplifying their nutrition, eating more whole foods, and building habits they can actually stick to long term.

The goal isn’t just to manage gout.

The goal is to improve your overall health, reduce inflammation, improve energy, and address the root cause.
