Another great day was had by the Bay Islands Veteran Golfers, perfect weather and a few perfect shots in good company. A big thank you to our sponsorship from Club Macleay the ladies winner of the Club Macleay voucher went to Zan Howe and the men’s recipient was Nigel McLauchlan.

Just a reminder to everybody the first round of the Albert and Logan teams event is on 31 August at Mount Warren Park and the nominations have to be in by the 17th so let me know if you can play or I’ll be checking with everybody when I see you at Golf next. Thanks to everybody being patient today with the computer problems but we got there in the end happy golfing all cheers Gail

The Men’s winner of the daily game of the 2nd Round of the Vets Championships was Larry Fabian with 66 net and the runner up was Nigel McLachlan with 67 net. The ladies winner was Carrol Alfonso with 68 net and the runner up was Zan Howe with 69 net. The final results of the Championships will be advised shortly. 🍻🥂 Cheers to the winners and all the other players

Unfortunately due to conditions of the course and the weather the veterans round two of their championships game tomorrow Sunday the 19th has been postponed until next Sunday the 26th. Please put your names down again and we hope to see you all there next week. For anyone playing at Windaroo on Monday. This game is still on round two. Of the Albert and Logan championships Good luck to everybody in the running and to everybody that just wants to enjoy the day.

The men’s winner of today’s 9 holes stroke/9 holes stableford Vets game was Brian “Irish” Henry with a great score of 5 points and the runner up was Ian Gilleard with 14 points. The ladies winner was Barb Garvey with 17 points and the runner up was Gail Waldorff with 20 points. The lucky winners of the $30 Club Macleay vouchers were Sue Domrow and Larry Fabian. Congratulations to Paul McCallum for getting a birdie on the 8th. Well done to all the winners and all the other vets who played today 👏

Today we had the inaugural first round of the Vets Championships sponsored by Baz Kekesi (1st and 3rd prizes) and Club Macleay (2nd prizes) and the men’s winner was Mike Ford with 68 net, the runner up was Michael Treay with 69 net and 3rd place went to Pete Bennett with 71 net. The ladies winner was Sue Domrow with 70 net, the runner up was Gail Spann with 74 net and 3rd place went to Zan Howe with 75 net Congratulations to all the winners and all the other Vets who played today and a huge thanks to Baz and Club Macleay for the great prizes 😀

The President of Club Macleay Mr Michael Jones today handed over sponsorship vouchers to our Vets President Baz Kekesi (who was at Club Macleay celebrating his 71st birthday with some friends) for the monthly Vets Golf events the first one being round one of the Vets Championships this Sunday which is also sponsored by Baz

There will be a voucher for both ladies and men each month. So Vets please put your names down online to be in to win the great prizes available for next Sunday 31st May.
