turned it on for .series track was brutal, kids had a blast, couple tip overs but its all part of learning at the end of the day, jakoby and kannon had fun and that's what matters!
Kannon shaved 20 seconds off his best lap on the 65 and gaining more confidence on the bike,
Jakoby had consistent best lap times all weekend on the 85, even with copping handlebars to the chin in a crash.

Onto Prossie this weekend, then Gladstone.

2024 Rocky Raiser is on this weekend, Halvey Motorsports has sponsored 3 classes for the holeshot award and also donated a signed Jersey to be raffled off aswell! Awesome event, relaxed atmosphere and plus it's Rockhampton Track!

FLY HIGH FOR HALVO

Mackay Junior Motocross Club will be hosting the Fly High for Halvo Memorial Race Day on the 27th of July 2024.

This will be an action-packed day of motocross racing featuring,

✔️ Full race classes available with 3 x rounds of racing.

✔️ Holeshot awards sponsored by JALK Diesel Services.

✔️ A Senior Unlimited Feature Race with $1000 total prize money up for grabs sponsored by Lynchy’s Plant Hire.

✔️ Live Music Saturday afternoon after completion of racing.

✔️ Camping available Friday & Saturday nights

Nominations to this event are open to members of the following clubs, Mackay Junior Motocross Club, Whitsunday Dirt track riders, RADMX, Keppel Coast MX Club, Gladstone MX Club

There will be a Practice Day held on Sunday the 28th of July 2024, this will be open to members of the Mackay Junior Motocross Club only and will have to nominate for practice separately to the race day.

Been a busy couple weeks for the boys, they all raced Yeppoon CQ and had a blast , ye opening track which was technical which pushed 4hem to adapt to the conditions, couple tip overs from Ken and Kyesyn but it's all learning.
Then the weekend just gone Jakoby and Kannon went to prossie to race the TNQs, track looked brutal and from what the boys said it was one of the roughest they have ridden, all lap times got better as the weekend went.

Practice day this weekend for them at Mackay to work on some things.

Mackay CQ Rd 2, well what a short lived, stressful weekend that was for everyone involved.
Poor Kyesyn had every bike drama under the sun and with some bloody great help from Lochlan from Kennedy Mining Services and the one and only Soggy they busted their asses off to get the bike going but due to the rain cancelling racing Sunday poor Kye couldn't get out on the track.
Kannon did Kannon things, adapting to the rougher longer tracks slowly but coming in with a smile ear to ear.
Jakoby debuted racing on the 250, proud is an under statement, he kept it upright,did the jumps he wanted to ticked off some little goals for himself, on the 85 somehow he pulled a ripper start on the inside and battled around 22nd in a stacked field which was awesome for his confidence.

The boys all had fun, great to have the family there and also friends catch up and say hi to evrryone.

Bring on Yeppoon in a few weeks

First round of the CQs done, Rockhampton turned it on and threw everything at the kids. It was Kannon and Kyesyns first Auto race and what a track to throw them in the deep end, they struggled with thr track bit pushed through and tried their hardest, they did whine a bit about the track just like Halvo would've haha.
Kannon ended up getting run over by Kyesyn in the last moto and sliced his elbow open but all good there.

Jakoby did practice on 250 but just didn't feel comfortable on it, so just focused on the 85 and that class is no joke either, those kids can move and have a lot more bike time, somehow Jakoby shaved 20 seconds off his lap time as the weekend progressed.

Bring on Mackay CQ and some more bike time in between.

Massive thanks to .creative for creating the logo for Halvey Motorsports, I gave her a rough concept of what I wanted and first concept back was absolutely spot on with what I have in my head, got some plans, ideas in the works in the background which will happen shortly.

Time to get the bike kits done up and jerseys printed now!

Wicksy here, little back story, myself and Halvo talked last year about forming Halvey Motosports again for the boys and their racing, our goal was to have it similar to how we did it back in 2015 there abouts with Brody,Dano, Liam,Darcy,Hayden and Locky.

2024 will see Jakoby,Blair,Kannon & Kyesyn representing the name at Motocross, plus Dan & Jammin on the go kart side, the logo is being down up with the help of East West Creative and its something me and brody talked about with how we wanted the logo.

We aren't out here to win races, we are out there to carry a legacy, get people talking, creating memories and also promoting Mental Health along the way to help others who have been battling.

So follow along for updates along the way as we progress along this journey.
