Life is more fun when your wearing wheels!!! It's great exercise and a fantastic form of stress relief. Come along for a skate and give it a crack today! ALSO - If you're interested in being part of the league but not in skating, you can come along and be a non skating official! Mackay City Rollers (Association) Incorporated is a non-profit organisation run by the members, for the members. As a non-profit organisation, no member of the Mackay City Rollers receives any payment for the services they provide in managing the Mackay City Rollers. Mackay City Rollers are dedicated to promoting the sport of flat track roller derby and supports, encourages and develops skaters in their skating ability, whilst promoting the values of goodwill and good sportsmanship. The Mackay City Rollers aim to provide a safe environment for people to skate and participate in the sport of roller derby. We also aim to foster strong inter-league relationships with other roller derby leagues within Queensland, Australia and internationally; and will utilise those relationships to improve and enhance the skills of the Mackay City Roller skaters, and to support the growth of roller derby.

We are incredibly proud to announce that FIVE of our MCR juniors have been selected for the Team Australia Junior Roller Derby Femme+! ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ›ผ

The competition was incredibly strong, with some of the best junior skaters in the country putting it all on the track. To have our skaters selected is an amazing achievement and a testament to the hard work, dedication and commitment of our skaters and our league.

We also celebrate every junior who took on the challenge of tryouts. To those who didn't make the team: you are still phenomenal skaters, and this one result does not define your ability or your future. We are proud of every single one of you. ๐Ÿ’š

Athletes making a national team is a reflection of the strength and cohesion of an entire league. We rise together, support each other and celebrate each other's achievements.

Congratulations to our junior athletes and congratulations to ALL our juniors for putting yourselves out there and giving it everything you've got.

From the moment the doors opened, the Big Shed was filled with energy, excitement and plenty of Roller Derby goodness!

Roller derby is so much more than a sport. It's about finding your people, lifting each other up, and growing together. Every accomplishment is built on the support of teammates, coaches, officials, volunteers, families, and a community that believes in you.

This past weekend, six incredible Mackay City Rollers athletes took another step on their roller derby journey as they represented our league at the Team Australia Junior Roller Derby Tryouts.
