Mackay Power Boat Club Inc. Established in August 2018 by Brad Nelson and families, Mackay's only Powerboat club is dedicated to the social and competitive sport of Powerboat Racing.

From juniors to veterans, Mackay Power Boat Club Inc. endeavours to cater for, and support boat racing events from the Mackay area, right down to Bundaberg where we look forward to some friendly rivalry.

🚤🔥 MACKAY POWERBOAT CLUB – RACE WEEKEND INFO 🔥🚤

We’re gearing up for a big weekend of racing at Kinchant Dam! 💨🏁 Bring the family, kids and mates along for an awesome weekend on the water!

📅 Saturday & Sunday - 16 & 17th May
🕢 Briefing – 7:30am
🚦 1st Race – 8:00am

🥓 Breakfast bacon & egg rolls available at the green BBQ trailer beside the boat ramp each morning until sold out

☕ Coffee available from Kinchant Waters from 8:30am

🍔 Lunch also available from Kinchant Waters throughout the weekend

🏆 Presentations will be held at the conclusion of racing Sunday.

With a strong lineup of boats entered, it’s shaping up to be an awesome weekend of racing and a great atmosphere for spectators!

🏅 Trophies will be awarded for combined points across both days, along with some cash prizes for each class 💰

⏰ Entries close MIDNIGHT Wednesday!
Late entry fees apply:
• Powerboats +$40
• Ski Racing +$10 per class

📋 Race order and grids will be sent to entered boat owners Friday afternoon.

🚤 ONLY 6 DAYS TO GO! 🚤

In just 6 days, the Mackay Power Boat Club will be hosting a huge 2-day race weekend of powerboats and ski racing at Kinchant Dam on Saturday & Sunday the 16th–17th!

Please note that Kinchant Dam will be CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC during the event dates between the hours of 5:00am–6:00pm Saturday and 5:00am-5:00pm Sunday to allow for safe racing operations.

It’s not too late to get your nominations in, so get signed up and get ready for an action-packed weekend of racing! 🏁

🏁 Get Ready for Racing – 16th & 17th May at Kinchant Dam! 🏁

Only a few weekends to go until an action-packed 2-day event full of fast boats and great racing. Camping on-site is available, along with a great feed and cold beers.

We’ll also be posting some of the nominated teams and the race order for the day as entries come through over the coming weeks.

We’re always grateful for any volunteer help and would really appreciate anyone who can lend a hand on the weekend.

To all members there will be a meeting next week on Tuesday the 5/5/26 to discuss the upcoming race weekend.
