Border Challenge done.

Jaz has finished her first competition representing Queensland.

Across two days she pulled on the Queensland colours for both the team and individual event. And even finished with some strong individual results.

4th on Vault.
6th on Bars.
12th All-Around.

It was a big experience. A nervous one at times. And one she will take a lot from.

There were nerves, there were moments to manage, and there were routines she had to fight through.

But she kept going, hit her routines, and finished the competition with no falls, two top-six apparatus results, and her first Queensland team experience complete.

For Jaz, this is another step forward.

For PURE, it is a special moment to see one of our own represent Queensland and Mackay at Border Challenge.

This weekend, Jaz competes at Border Challenge as part of the Level 7 Queensland team.

A little girl who simply loved gymnastics has grown into an athlete ready to represent her state, her club, and her city.

From Mackay to Queensland colours.

Jaz has been featured on 7NEWS ahead of representing Queensland at Border Challenge.

This is a huge moment for Jaz, for PURE, and for gymnastics in our region.

Jaz is the first Mackay female gymnast in more than a decade to be selected to represent Queensland, earning her place on the Level 7 Queensland team.

Border Challenge brings together the best Level 7 gymnasts from across the country, making it the highest representative competition available at this level.

For Jaz, this is another step forward.

For our Lionettes, it is a reminder that the standard we are building at PURE is not just for our own floor.

It can travel. It can represent. It can open doors.

We are so excited to see Jaz carry The Pride in Queensland colours.
