🎾 MDLTA Tuesday Ladies Competition – Grand Final & Luncheon 🎾

The MDLTA Tuesday Ladies Competition Grand Final and Luncheon was held yesterday at Sunbury Lawn Tennis Club.

While none of our Macedon teams played in the Grand Final this season, we were still proud to celebrate another successful season of tennis. An impressive 4 out of 5 Macedon teams reached the semi-finals, a fantastic achievement for our club. 💙🤍

Although we weren’t on court for the Grand Final, we thoroughly enjoyed coming together at the luncheon, catching up with players from other clubs, and cheering on our tennis friends.

A huge congratulations to all the Grand Finalists and a big thank you to all our Macedon ladies for a wonderful season filled with great tennis, friendship, and fun. 👏👏🎾🎾

Love this - Be that advantage!

Sometimes the biggest pressure on a junior player doesn’t come from the opponent… it comes from the sideline. A child should never walk off court wondering if they disappointed their parents.

Junior players thrive when they feel safe to compete, make mistakes, and learn.

❌ Not when every point is analyzed.
❌ Not when every error gets a reaction.
❌ Not when winning becomes everything.

Constant coaching, negative reactions, score obsession, and emotional rides can slowly damage confidence. Young players grow fastest when they feel supported, trusted, and free to compete.

The best tennis parents give something more powerful than instruction:

✅ Belief. “I’m proud of you whether you win or lose.”

That’s where real confidence starts. Parents can be the greatest advantage a player has.

Be that advantage.
