Yarra Pistol Club is proud to announce we will be hosting the 2027 WA1500 World Titles, right here in Victoria, Australia. 🎯

Dates: 8–16 October 2027

This is a significant honour for our club and the wider shooting community, and we look forward to welcoming competitors from around the world to Victoria!

A huge thank you to Alan for his expert coaching! 🎯

Our members have had an amazing opportunity to learn from Alan over the past sessions, focusing on Air Pistol fundamentals. His guidance on grip, stance, and breathing technique has made a real difference in helping our shooters build a solid foundation.

Whether you're just starting out or looking to refine your technique, these sessions have been invaluable.

🔧 Fi****ms Maintenance Workshop — Week 2!
Another great turn out for our second maintenance workshop at Yarra! This week was all about looking after your firearm, proper cleaning techniques, what to check after a day on the range, and how good maintenance habits keep your gun running reliably and lasting longer.

A big thank you to Don for organising the session, and to Norm for sharing his many tricks of the trade, always great value having that kind of experience passed on to the members.

Great to see so many keen to get hands-on and ask questions. Whether you're new to shooting or just want to sharpen up your routine, it's clear this workshop is filling a real need in the club.

🎯 The clubrooms were buzzing today!

What a day at Yarra Pistol Club, Mixed Practical, Action Match, training sessions, and our fi****ms maintenance workshop (more on that tomorrow) all running side by side.

Whether you were on the range chasing a better time, working through a match stage, or learning how to keep your gear in top condition, there was something for everyone.

This is exactly what Yarra is about, a club where every kind of shooter has a place, and there's always something happening.

Thanks to everyone who came down, and to those who helped run the workshop and matches today.

A very special thank you to Emma Brown, President of Yarra Pistol Club and her committee, volunteers, all the workers on the range and in the clubhouse, Bob Maddocks and all at VAPA - Victorian Amateur Pistol Association for a fabulous and very welcoming National Championships. All of your efforts and dedication behind the scenes have been invaluable and the reason for such a successful championship.

What an incredible 10 days it’s been.

From the first shot to the final presentations, Nationals 2026 delivered in every way.

Great competition, great people, and a whole lot of moments that won’t be forgotten anytime soon.

To our President Emma—thank you for your leadership, vision, and everything you poured into making this event what it was.

To our volunteers—you are the reason events like this run. The quiet work, the long days, the stepping in wherever needed… we see it, and we appreciate it.
To our competitors—thank you for bringing the standard, the sportsmanship, and the energy. You made it what it was.

To our sponsors—your support helped bring this all together, and we’re incredibly grateful.
