Presenting our Management Committee for 2026/27 💙💛

As a result of the AGM being held last Sunday, our Management Committee for the next year has been confirmed ✅ Congratulations and thank you to those who have put their hand up to guide the Club into another exciting next chapter 💫 We also sincerely thank outgoing Committee member Trent Burge for his efforts over the last few seasons as Vice President - Seniors, but will no doubt continue to offer his time and knowledge with other initiatives (and on the field 😉) 🙏🏽

With some sub-committee / coordinator roles still to be filled, we’ll make further announcements soon to recognise the other amazing volunteers we have supporting our Club 💪🏽 Bring on another summer at Barossa Park! 🏏

📣 Notice of AGM — Sunday 14 June, 11:00am at Barossa Park

Please be advised of the date for the Annual General Meeting of the Lyndoch Cricket Club. To our members, we encourage you all to come along! This is your club — have a say in the direction the club heads next 💙💛

🔹As per the Constitution, the following Management Committee positions are up for election:
• President (2-year term)
• Vice President - Juniors (2-year term)
• Registrar & Property Officer (2-year term)
• Vice President - Seniors (casual vacancy, 1-year term)
• 2x appointed General Officers (1-year terms)

🔸A range of other volunteer / coordinator roles will also need filling (all 1-year terms):
• Female Cricket Coordinator
• Deputy Junior Coordinator
• Cricket Blast Coordinator
• Head of Cricket
• Child Safe Officer
•Social Media Coordinator
• Sponsorship Coordinator
• Bar & Canteen Manager
• Fundraising & Events Coordinator
• Life Member Liaison
• Turf Pitch Management Team

Some key long-time volunteers are looking to take a step back this season so we’d love to see new people step up into the roles above. All necessary training and handover of duties can be arranged, as well as ongoing support. We’d especially love to see more of our junior families in the room this year. No role required, no pressure to speak — just turn up and be part of the conversation.

We encourage all members to come along, have your say, and share your ideas as we plan for the future 🏏

Vale Allan Turvey 💫

The Lyndoch Cricket Club is saddened to hear of the passing of Life Member Allan Turvey on 4 June 2026, aged 84.

Allan made a significant contribution to our club both on and off the field and was a valued member of the Lyndoch Cricket Club community for many years. He was a member of our A Grade Premiership team in the 1969/70 season and was later recognised with Life Membership in acknowledgement of his outstanding service and commitment.

Beyond cricket, Allan was deeply involved in community sport throughout the region. He was a past player and committee member of the Lyndoch Football Club, played a key role in the amalgamation of the Lyndoch and Williamstown Football Clubs to form the Barossa District Football Club, and served as an inaugural committee member of the newly formed club. Allan was also a Life Member of the Lyndoch & Districts Bowling Club and the Willaston Football Club.

On behalf of everyone at the Lyndoch Cricket Club, we extend our sincere condolences to Denise, his family, friends and all who knew him. Allan's contribution to our club and the broader sporting community will be remembered with great respect and gratitude. His funeral will be held on 26 June, 10:30am at Taylor & Forgie Adelaide Rd Chapel, followed by the wake at the Lyndoch & District Bowling Club clubrooms.
