These are common behavioural issues for owners to navigate, and scent work can be a great way to work with them!

Detection work engages their brain. It’s a mental workout that produces the kind of tired that only comes from them doing something they were biologically built to do.

For nervous dogs, it builds confidence.

For reactive dogs, it offers focus and a natural outlet.

And because scent work involves you and your dog working something out together, it strengthens your relationship in ways standard training doesn’t always reach.

Looking for a fun activity for a young dog lover? Our Kids Edit Scent Detection Workshop, hosted by Conservation & Detection Dogs SA, has just 2 places remaining for 27th June!

Scent Detection is a fantastic way to build your dog's confidence, focus and problem-solving skills while strengthening the bond between dog and handler. It provides dogs with a rewarding mental workout, allowing them to use their natural instincts in a positive and engaging way.

For kids, it's a fun introduction to the fascinating world of conservation and detection dogs. Whether they're interested in a future career working with animals, conservation, wildlife detection, or simply want to have fun and develop a stronger partnership with their dog, this workshop is a great place to start.

Our next bookable Scent Detection Day is on the 18th July. There are 4 options
1. At 8.30am A 2-hour Scent Detection-only class with 4 only participants $65
2. At 10.45 a 4 hour workshop for both Scent Detection and Man Trailing with 4 onlu participants $110
3. At 3.15pm a 90 min Scent Detection Class for Kids - our Kids Edit 4 only participants $55
4. An Auditor for the day (no dog) but able to watch all classes - a great way to find out what is it all about!
Our booking link is in the comments - and please check through all the classes so you know which one is right for you! If you cant book - it probably means the class is full - but contact me and we can pop you on a waiting list - in case a spot frees up!
