Experiencing the excitement and terror of our first foaling in 1999, our passion for breeding thoroughbreds began. Nestled in the beauty and tranquillity of Lower Belford, New South Wales, our stud overlooks the stunning Hunter River and a glorious mountain range. Beginning with 3 broodmares, 6 makeshift stables and plenty of love and passion, the Beattie family has been able to develop the predom

inately bushland from its humble beginnings to a multi-facility stud. Stud facilities include a large sand round yard, onsite vet room and a custom built 12 stable complex, designed with a multitude of safety features. With over 10 years experience in the thoroughbred industry and over 40 years experience in the care of other horse breeds, the Beattie family brings great experience in the care and treatment of horse. Glenrae Thoroughbreds is within 2 1/2 hours drive of Sydney and 1 hour drive of Scone, proving it to be central to New South Wales' predominate horsing facilities.
