Tratak, or candle flame gazing meditation, is a traditional practice used to develop focus, concentration, and steady attention.

It's the perfect meditation for dark winter evenings. For the best experience, dim the lights and allow the candle flame to become the primary focus. This also makes it easier to visualise the flame during the closed-eye phase of the practice.

We have a number of height-adjustable tratak stands in our studio for students to use for this meditation.

Sometimes the most productive thing we can do is stop.

Building rest into our wellbeing routine is just as important as movement.

We have plenty of props at The Yoga Shed to make Legs Up the Wall as comfortable as possible, like our weighted sandbags for the abdomen and eyepillows, but all you really need is a wall and a folded blanket to enjoy many of the same benefits at home.

We’ve opened a limited 5-week pro-rata option for our current Chakra Yoga & Meditation term for those who have been considering joining but missed the beginning of the course.

Rather than booking casually week to week, this option allows you to settle into the remaining term with one simple booking and a lower per-class rate than casual attendance — supporting greater continuity, consistency and depth in your practice.

This is a slower, immersive class that weaves together mindful movement, chakra-informed practice, meditation, pranayama (yogic breathing techniques) and sound meditation within our peaceful retreat-style studio environment.

Mondays 6:30pm–8pm
The Yoga Shed | Hunter Valley

Limited places available. Book via the casual classes and events schedule on our website. You'll see the option available on next Monday's date only. After that it is casual only.
