Tratak, or candle flame gazing meditation, is a traditional practice used to develop focus, concentration, and steady attention.
It's the perfect meditation for dark winter evenings. For the best experience, dim the lights and allow the candle flame to become the primary focus. This also makes it easier to visualise the flame during the closed-eye phase of the practice.
We have a number of height-adjustable tratak stands in our studio for students to use for this meditation.
