IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
from our friends at Equestrian in the Vines.
We are sad to see the Arena 1 classes cancelled but are happy to see the show progressing where possible.

** IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT **

Due to circumstances beyond our control all arena One (sand) showjumping classes have been cancelled for the upcoming Equestrian in the Vines 😪. These are heights 1.05-1.30m.

Here at HorseSport Australia and Hunter Valley Showjumping Club Inc - HVSJC we are deeply disappointed and all entries from that arena will be refunded.

Showjumping entries will re-open soon and can be edited by competitors, including the Yards & Camping. Dressage entries are open for additions or changes.

Arena 2 jumping and dressage events are unaffected.
We look forward to an exciting and successful event with our change of program and hope to see you all there.

Sandhills - Craig and Prue Barrett and the Sandhills team are regular attendees and supporters of our HorseSport Australia and Hunter Valley Showjumping Club Inc - HVSJC events in the Hunter Valley. We thank them for supporting the upcoming Equestrian in the Vines event on 10-12 April 🙂.

Entries are now open for the 2026 Equestrian in the Vines 🤩🤩.
Sponsors are absolutely vital for the hosting of successful events and a regular supporter of the thoroughbred horse in both showjumping arenas is Thoroughbred Sport Horse Association and Peachester Lodge with the TSHA classes. All thoroughbreds require a TSHA licence for these classes and you can sign up by going to your Global Entries profile under "Manage Horses" and "Get TSHA Licence".

Attention All HVSJC members and participants. Unfortunately a committee members page has been disabled and has taken down the club page. We are trying to get it back. If people can report that it's gone, it might help Facebook get it back once they see how popular it is.
For now I have added the calendar here so no one misses out.

Junior classes and pointscores were hotly contested over the three days of the HVSJC Spring Championships with the regular Under 13 Children’s pointscore focussed on the newcomers to our events with three classes throughout the weekend from 60cm Friday and Saturday to 65cm on Sunday with Scarlett Richardson & Alara Park Fantasy the clear winners.


Thanks to the generous sponsorship from Imperial Sport Horses and the Mhanna Family the event hosted a separate pointscore for the Under 18 riders not entered in the Children’s classes and the winners were Skye Van Drempt & Empress of the Blues with this combination also taking out Sunday's 1m U18 class.

Pointscores are a great encouragement award for our younger competitors and congratulations to all juniors for a great effort.

What a way to wrap up last weekend’s HVSJC Spring Showjumping Championships of 2025 with some incredible performances in the Duncan Equine arena and the HorseSport Australia grass arena!

David Cooper and Victory Day are no strangers to the podium at HVSJC events and he was there again on Sunday posting a double clear performance with a jump off time of 41.65 with over a second separating the pair from Charlie Richardson and A Foxy Lady on 42.77. David then backed up his performance with the third position from another double clear on Habanero with a time of 43.08. Congratulations to David and Victory Day for a well-deserved win.

The weekend boasted 130 keen competitors with over 600 exciting rounds of jumping throughout the three days. Competitors travelled from far and wide across NSW and QLD and the Lovedale Café kept us all well nourished!

Thank you to all the sponsors, competitors, volunteers, officials and the fantastic HVSJC Committee and a special thanks to the Schwartz Family for allowing us to use this lovely venue.
