We're getting there!
It's fair to say the last four weeks has been a roller-coaster. From business as usual, to a property ablaze, to quite literally picking up the pieces. There is no guide book on recovery from a natural disaster and the aftermath of the Longwood Fires has been new territory for all of us.
The good news is Leneva Park is making positive steps towards returning to work. With huge thanks to the volunteers and donations from Aussie Hay Runners BlazeAid Cute Ute Crew Melbourne Racing Club Racing Victoria all of the generous donors that have supported Strathbogie Shire relief programs, the local trades and businesses who have been ready and willing to help, and of course our staff and family, we are rebuilding our farm, feeding our horses, and getting ready to welcome client horses back to the property.
There is still much work to be done and we're a long way off business as usual, but we look forward to sharing the "little wins" with you all - starting with our first horses on track in the coming weeks.
Thank you everyone for your support of our farm, but also for your support of the communities hit by the 2026 bushfires across Victoria.
