As we settle in to watch the Opening Ceremony of the Winter Olympics on Saturday morning. bear in mind that the Australian Flag Bearer, Matt Graham, was a very successful Sabot sailor before he started focusing on his skiing. Sailing for Gosford Sailing Club, Matt won the Sabot Two-up Nationals three time between 2004 and 2006 and the One-up NSW State Championship in 2007.

Jakara Anthony and Matt Graham have been named as flag bearers for the 2026 Winter Olympic Games in Milano Cortina.

This afternoon former Lane Cove junior Henry Larkings took out the Australian 18ft Skiff Championship at the helm of the skiff Balmain. In a dramatic final race, Henry and his crew overtook two other boats on the final downwind leg to secure the race win and the title on countback.
