How AWESOME was Saturday!! 🥶❄️

What a great day we had for MND day, hosted so well by the Mallala Netball and Football clubs fundraising for such a great cause 🫶

Our juniors wore ribbons and glitter, while the seniors donned some very special socks, Heather and Truss went for an icy dip, and so so sooo much fun was had by all!!

On top of all the fun, there were also some very special occasions we got to celebrate 🥳

🌟 Daisy, Nellie, and some of our other U13Bs played in their FIRST EVER WIN!! 3 seasons in the making for some, the girls played an incredible game and came away with an exciting 18-10 win!

🏐 Jaela joined team white, umpiring her very first U9s game. She showed plenty on confidence, taking on feedback, and showing improvement from the first whistle to the last

🎉 Mollie and Eliza took the court in our A2s. While not their first senior games, we love seeing them take every opportunity in their stride and showing off all incredible talent we have coming through our juniors

Seeing our community come together on days like this, showing so much love and support is simply what makes country sport so special and why we love playing netty at Long Plains so very much 🥰🥰

Round 9 saw some fantastic performances across the club as we travelled to Mallala. A special congratulations to our U13Bs, who celebrated their first win of the season – a reward for all their hard work and determination! 👏

It was a competitive day for our senior sides, with three grades finishing within a five-goal margin, showing plenty of fight right until the final whistle

A huge thank you to Mallala Netball Club and Mallala Football Club for hosting an incredible fundraising day for FightMND. We’d also like to give a special shoutout to our own Heather Curnow and Michael Trussell, who braved the winter chill and took on the dunk tank for a great cause! 🥶💦

Next week we’re back at home as we take on Balaklava, and we’re looking forward to welcoming our valued sponsors as we celebrate Sponsors Day and thank them for their ongoing support of our club 🐯

BIG FREEZE DUNK 💙🥶

Flying the flag for Longies this Saturday are our very own Heather Curnow and Michael Truss, joining a handful of equally brave (or crazy 😆) volunteers from Mallala in taking the plunge for FightMND.

A massive thank you to Heather and Michael for taking one for the team and putting themselves on the line for such a great cause. They're absolute legends, and we're proud to have them representing Longies. We can't wait to cheer them on... from a safe distance in our warm jackets 😆💙
