Wombat Wonder TOURS Wombat Wonder Tours is all about seeing wombats in their natural habitat. Costs $85 pp, $35 per child under 16. Good quality walking shoes are recommended.

We will take you on an overnight excursion to Swamp Gully where we will be able observe the wombats on their outings. You will need to wear suitable clothing for overnight outdoor activities. Headlamps are provided, however you may bring a torch. Light refreshments are provided . Mobile phones must be switched off and cameras are NOT permitted.

Because of the extreme interest in our New Years tour we have decided to add an extra tour, it will go to our alternative site and will be family friendly.

We have a special weekend group tour now on offer. It will be an increased capacity or 20 persons and at a reduced cost of $ 525 per person.
It will also include some extra features, ( I’m excited) as we will have two Elders from the Binaburra Land council, they will be giving information talks on the Saturday in bush tucker and also Saturday night preform a corroboree in honour of the wombat.
This is a one of special.

Good morning Monday 1st November,
We are now offering our two tour types from this week
Day night tours from Wednesday 3 November,
Weekend tours from the weekend 5 November
We have maintained the same price structure, $85 per person for our night tours, and $650 per person for the weekend tours.
The overnight tour includes a late supper and breakfast as well as all no alcohol beverages.
The weekend tours include all meals, non alcoholic beverages, accommodation in serviced tents, transfers to and from our camp site.
Book now as our tours are limited to 14 persons, and are filing up quickly.

Having reopened after COVID-19 lockdown I would like to take this opportunity to restate our Mission Statement.
We are a not for profit organisation created by way of private family trust.
Our principal operations revolve around taking tours to experience the wonders of wombats in the wild. We work closely with both State and Federal parks and reserves authorities and the Binaburra land council (traditional owners) to ensure the tours do not have an adverse effect on the natural environment.
We offer two types of tours, overnight and weekend to Swamp Gully a know habitat of the Eastern Grey Wombat ( a protected species) to observe their behaviour in the wild. You will get to see these wonderful animals in their natural environment.
As we all know wombats are nocturnal creatures, so our tours involve extensive night excursions, so we are at this stage restricting our tours to adults only (over 18) however we are working with the Department of Education to offer special tours in 2022 designed to provide educational value for secondary students. For me personally this is the prime vision of Wombat Wonder tours, the future is always in education.
Our company is not for profit, all funds raised go to the protection of endangered native animals.
We appreciate the tough times we have all experienced recently and look forward to seeing you.

Welcome back to Wombat Wonder tours after COVID lockdown we did not think we could resume.
But we have and the first tour was conducted last weekend for staff and friends so as to get reacquainted with our furry friends. So everyone keep a eye on our events page to what’s coming up.

We have reopened after COVID lockdown, and we are in the process of getting our tours up and running early November. So keep an eye on this page because exciting new and better tours are coming.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions Wombat Wonder Tours has been closed. It was not expected that we would be able to recommence out tour program.
But wait, good news we intend to start tours early November.
We yet to finalise our program, however the following are just an indication of what will be on offer.
The regular overnight tour, starting 9pm from checkpoint A.
This tour will include a refreshments break, a night camp and a good deal of walking, so good quality footwear is advised.
The cost is $85 per person or $150 for couples
Flashlights will be provided, and remember no cameras allowed.
The weekend tour is still in the process of being finalised, so further details will announced later today.

I would also like to take this opportunity to remind everyone what Wombat Wonder tours is all about. We are a environmental friendly organisation that is nonprofit, all proceeds from our company go to protecting endangered native animals. Thus you will be advised on booking a tour of the protocols required. Simply put we will be taking care that our tours do not have an adverse impact on the environment.
