Hapkido Grading This Morning ☀️🥋

A special shout out to Lize and Michael for coming in to support today’s grading. Unfortunately, much of our Hapkido crew is currently out of action due to illness 😢.

Lize was also surprised with an unexpected grading today 🙊🎊 and rose to the challenge beautifully!

Great effort from everyone involved. Grading is never easy, but it’s the hard work, consistency, and dedication you put in beforehand that solidify your ability to test with confidence.

Congratulations to all who graded today. Be proud of the effort you’ve put in and the progress you’ve made. 👏🥋

The day before Bruins Fight he was in the office looking at the photos I have up. Mostly of students and special moments. (I am slack putting more up) it was the first fight I wasn’t going be able to attend.

I said to Bruin, “when you get your first win I would I will blow the pics up and put them on the wall. “

The little guy, well he got his first win 🏆 so now these pics 📸 will be up on the wall! I keep my word.

Let’s talk equipment 👊

After your trial, you are required to have your full uniform and compulsory equipment for your martial art.

We don’t require you to purchase through us, however please check with your coach before buying to make sure you get the correct gear.

Uniforms help make martial arts a neutral and respectful space. They are designed for comfort, protection and movement during training, while also representing the traditions of martial arts.

Equipment such as mouth guards, gloves, shin guards and helmets should always be personal items for hygiene reasons.

You don’t need the top branded gear to begin — the basics are perfectly fine while you decide if you’re committed long term.

Having the correct equipment is not optional. Training without it can slow your own progress and impact your training partners as well.

We generally have stock available, can help size you up, order items in, or point you in the right direction if needed 🙌

Little reel 🎞️ from our NSKA / ISKA - all styles martial arts competition on Sunday.

It was smaller than usual. But made it a great experience for our new competitors.

The support towards everyone was perfect. We all were prepared and on time and ready to go!

Thank you to everyone for all the prep & the heart felt support to the young competitors.

We have kept quiet about this out of respect to privacy to Kru Mic.

You might have noticed that he hasn’t been teaching for a while…. That’s because he has been fighting a battle with cancer. He has managed to hit remission but still has a fight to go.

Eric was so happy to have Mic there today. Made even more special with Bruin having a win.

Mic will still be part of the club as much as he can and a life long mentor to Eric.
