🚨Attention Members and Local Community🚨
Statement from Club President,
Tim Knoblauch
We have experienced two break-ins at our facilities in just over a week.
On Saturday, 6 June, our club was broken into, resulting in minor damage and the theft of important equipment.
Last night, Sunday, 14 June, we were targeted again. After being unable to gain access to the buildings, the offenders proceeded to strip all the copper piping from the clubhouse. Gas lines and other piping were extensively damaged and removed overnight.
We immediately notified police, who have attended the site and conducted their investigations. CCTV footage of both incidents has been provided to police and is now assisting with their enquiries.
If anyone has any information regarding either break-in, no matter how small, please contact police. Any information could help identify those responsible.
We are a community-based club, and these actions only hurt our members and the wider community. Instead of directing our time, effort, and resources towards improving our club and supporting our members, we are forced to spend them repairing damage caused by these senseless acts.
Despite these incidents, the club will continue to operate as normal, and all activities will proceed as scheduled.
I would like to apologise to our members for what has occurred. We are currently reviewing and implementing additional security measures to help prevent incidents like this from happening again.
Thank you for your ongoing support.
Tim Knoblauch
