We will not fly at Locksley this weekend. Saturday is stormy and Sunday is average conditions and pretty west.

It might still be winter but we had glorious sunny day to fly at Locksley yesterday. The tug was out in the morning with a student and some rusty pilots practicing their towing. Welcome to Dave who had come down from Canberra and also to Mario who is back in Melbourne.The highlight of the morning was the first solo of our student Nigel who flew perfectly. He was one excited fellow when he landed ( see video). We continued practice tows till mid afternoon when the strengthening westerly made take offs and landings a little to exciting.

We will fly at Locksley this Sunday. The tug will be out with students from about 8:30am till about 11 however there would be room for others to join for early tows. After a short break we will tow again from about 12:30 till later in the arvo.

Another fun day at Locksley last Sunday. In the morning we had Nigel, one of our students, doing his last tandems in preparation for solo. In the afternoon we got out the scooter tow for landing practice, Perfect conditions with 0-5kt headwind. Lots of pilots revising the basics. Thanks to Miha and Neil for the vision.

Not everyone knows that apart from selling gliders and other hang gliding equipnent, we also do sail repairs and glider servicing.
Here is a WW Falcon just out of its 10 year "sail off" service. A few wear marks patched, anti flutter speed battens installed, all wires, bolts and tubes inspected and replaced if necessary. Test fly will be tomorrow.

We will fly at Locksley this Sunday. It won't be much of a soaring day however it will be good for training and practice. The tug will be out early and be available until about 2pm. After that, we will set up the scooter tow system for take off and landing practice until late afternoon.

Just received notice that entries for the Forbes Team Challenge in October are closed. The event is more than fully subscribed. You have to be quick folks!
