Go the Green Machine. Well done to Explorers Tony Tugwell 1st for day one and 2nd overall in FSB for the Symes and Scott Brindley 7th in TRA in the Symes with a very close margin.

12 athletes braved Lockhart’s mean and volatile headwind on Saturday for a 600yard club competition shoot. Everyone coped a hiding except our very own Paul Golden. The 89-year-old showed how old age and cunning beats youth and enthusiasm and even put the clubs’ fours past Queens & Kings winners to shame by achieving the only possible for the day. Paul put the success down to his new barrel and brute determination. Ebony had a great shoot again and we all hope that she will be a regular competitor. After the shoot we all gathered for a BBQ.

over the Easter long weekend members of the Explorers RC competed in the Easter at Glenrowan OPM at the Wangaratta Rifle Range. Our F Standard boys made us proud with Graham Crowe using a very handsome piece of wood bringing home some gongs and Tony Tugwell shoot very superbly by winning the FSB aggregate. We wish to thank the members of Wangaratta Rifle Club for hosting a terrific event, the range look fabulous and the program ran flawlessly.

Last Saturday we had a 300 yard session at Lockhart. The conditions were ideal with little wind.
At Explorers we hold regular shoots (almost every week) from 300 yards to 900 yards. We have members who are highly experienced shooters and others that are novices. We welcome all levels of experience. Our members travel from Wagga Wagga, Coolamon, Leeton, Deniliquin, Temora and other parts of the Riverina.
If you haven't considered our sport before and want to try - reach out to us and one of our experienced members will be able assist. You don't need to own a rifle. You can join us for a session and we will provide everything you need.
This weeks session is 500 yards starting at 9am (Saturday).

With a few members away at Lyndhurst a small band of Explorers faced todays challenges at 900 yards. Wind was between 2min left and 2min right with very quick changes.
Jimmy was the only one to get a possible but was counted out for the daily agg. Some of our Fclass guys had issues putting on double the wind in error waiting for the change.
We where visited by Neville's granddaughter Ray and although she is a little young to start shooting she did a great job scoring. Ebony had her second try and put our seasoned vets to shame. She is now looking for a jacket to give TR a go.
With the recent rain the range looks a treat. Jimmy took a video with his new drone.
After shooting we all headed to Lin's Chinese Restaurant at Lockhart Ex-Servicemen's Club

With several members away there was only a small number that enjoyed a glorious day at Lockhart. The weather was fabulous with the wind at 800y averaging 1.5min so there where some great shooting. A huge thankyou to Chris and Jimmy who removed some dead wood before we started. After shooting we stayed back for an awesome meat only BBQ and once again my apologies for picking up non-acholic beer, my mistake

Good turnout today for 700 yards with some tricky windy conditions keeping everyone on their toes.
Tough competition out there in f-class with Graham coming in with a cracking shoot to finish topping Kieren by one point!
In target rifle we had Jimmy coming back after holidaying for the last 12 months to take the top spot with Chris not far behind and David hot on he’s heels!
We also welcome Ebony to the range, she had a cracking first shoot with the .223 in tough conditions under Grahams wind coaching.
