Got into trouble at our free camp before the qld border with the car battery dead..... and marc forgetting his jumper leads to use on our thumper.
Fletch got jumper leads confused with g-strings in the video🤪
Queenslanders, nsw and victorians all stopped to help us out. Proud to be Australian.
I’ll update our travel page tonight if we’re in range...lots has happened!!

If you’ve heard of the “Alaskan bush people” then my boys think they’re the “Australian bush people”. Found the most beautiful place to camp on the river where pelicans cruise by our window. Coop used a stick to stop a fish and fletch got in and caught it with his bare hands! He then decided it was a good idea to bring it into the caravan.🙄

Fletch made a science experiment using our clothesline and bits and pieces we had to make a yabbie net which was really clever.

Prior to our bush experience we visited Silverton hotel where mad max movie was made. Boys found the miners memorial interesting and sad to read all the different ways they died. Went down day dream mine and did a free camp where a refrigerated road train pulled up 3m from our van in the middle of the night and we’re glad it was free!!

Of course marc and fletch fit in a bike ride!!

Not much to report.
Family discussion explaining retirement and what it means for others.
Talking about someone weve known for a long time and in retirement and fletch pipes up in all honesty “that man is mostly just tired”! 🤣

Broken hill mountain bike tracks are great. Unfortunately I’m not allowed to ride for some time but I’m allowed to walk so marc set up my ph directions on another setting and my 30min walk turned into 1hr40 and I’ve overdone it.
By the end of this trip I’m going to know how to follow my phones navigator!!

Pulled in to our park and we’re next to a couple that hates kids....kids don’t want to go out the van. The couple are absolute tossers to kids 😖...it takes all kinds so focussing on positives.

making memories...I watched marc empty the toilet cassette after our free camping and couldn’t stop giggling. I said “see marc, this is a memory I’ll never forget 😂

First day on our 4 month trip.
No schedule just putting it in Gods hands and following borders opening up.
Important thing first-
I wish I was Mary Poppins with the never ending bag! Packing for a week for me is hard.....(just for my clothes)let alone 4 months!!
First day of our foxy 4 adventure and Fletcher’s response to everyone is “we haven’t killed each other yet!!”

The navigator led us astray (stupid google maps) on a summer track only, and a few other dirt roads....lucky marc showed me the arrow to face the map the other way around.🙄......a little too late.

Made it to broken hill and free camping.

Fletch made dinner while coop started a bon fire.

This is going to be an epic experience for all of us. Feeling blessed xx
