Let’s chat the benefits of HIIT training! If you’re short on time, one of the most effective workouts you can do is a high-intensity interval training (HIIT) workout.

These workouts lend themselves to being short and effective. The basic premise is you work very hard, for a short period of time, mixing hard work and rest intervals.

The benefits though? HIIT training has been known to help you burn fat, improve your overall heart health and assist your metabolic rate!

Need some quick tips on nutrition? When it comes to hitting your health and fitness goals, we know that what we eat and drink each week is just as important as the sessions we complete. To stay on track, give your nutrition a once-over with these three tips.

1. Drink more water
We know how important water is for the body. This is your friendly reminder to drink one more glass each day, and be sure to have a glass before a meal or after training to aid recovery.

2. Keep snacking in check
If you have a young family it’s very easy to snack on the kid’s leftovers when you’re busy or hungry. Instead, try making yourself lunch when you make theirs and have snacks prepared in advance to help you avoid eating for the sake of cleaning off their plates.

3. Less alcohol
Can you do a week without? Reducing your intake by even one drink will help you stay on track towards your goals.

If you’re looking to elevate yourself to a new zone, chances are you’ll need to set new standards for yourself. That weight you’ve been using for the last four weeks? Bump it up a little! Have you been working at 81 per cent for your yellow zone? It’s time to aim for 88 per cent and maintain it. Set yourself new standards and stick to them. Push yourself a little harder, put in the effort and see the results!

Feeling low on energy? You could be low on sleep 😴
Sleep is when cells produce and release proteins essential for growth and tissue repair. Lack of sleep can cause poor concentration and mood swings. Eight hours of sleep is considered ideal for good health. Try a hot bath, when you get out it immediately decreases your body temperature which may help you relax for a deeper sleep. Try not to fall asleep with noise, like the TV in the background, it’s more difficult for the brain to shut down.
“Your alertness during the day is dependent on the quality of your sleep and on getting undisturbed sleep,” says Psychologist Thomas Roth, Ph.D.

With expert coaches and advice along the way, our sessions provide unlimited 45-minute group personal training sessions for the beginner through to the advanced. Each incorporates the latest techniques and MyZone heart rate technology, helping you better your performance time and time again.

With what you do outside of your Coaching Zone sessions being equally as important as the 45-minutes that you spend with us, we finish all Coaching Zone sessions with community coaching. This is your time to get the guidance or support that you may need from our expert coaches to get just that little bit closer to reaching your goals.
