So this is what happens when you arrive at the track a day early, you get roped into a tv interview. Don't think Brad's gonna want to do that again 🤣🤣
This weekend we are at Lismore Speedway for the GP53. Hopefully we have a good run after a shocking night at Toowoomba where we broken the tailshaft and Jbar.

Unfortunately Gympie didn't go well. Half a lap into the warm up laps the car stuttered, backfired and then cut out. We tried everything to get it going again but with no luck.
Got it home yesterday and found the crank angle sensor had failed. So replaced that and we are running again.
Hoping for great night tonight and tomorrow night at Hi-Tec Oils Toowoomba Speedway for the Ian Boettcher Classic.

So we have been very quiet lately.
After the QLD Tiltle last season, Brad not only shot a rod through the block but we got the car home and stripped it down to find it bent and twisted. So that meant a very trying off season building not only a new engine but a new car.
So a very late start to the season but we made it.
Debuting the new car tonight at Gympie Speedway .

So last night was interesting to say the least.
Hotlaps the track was very greasy and after a few laps Brad spun and just after a car went into the wall so they called it.
Heat 1 saw Brad start out of poll, he got a great start but fell back and then due to a car being sideways on the track everyone hit the brakes and slid to try and avoid it and unfortunately Brad was left nowhere to go and collided into the side of another car at pace which resulted in a DNF.
Brad and Jordan got stuck in and managed to get it out for heat 2. Started I. 7th finished in 8th. Despite the front end damage Brad managed to improve his lap times.
Heat 3 started in 6th finished in 4th.
This put Brad into the Amain starting out of 19th. Again was going well Brad was keeping with and having great little battles with the cars around him. After a few incidents and restarts we were down to 5 laps to go on final restart. Brad went with the pack and was running well the as he came around turn 3 with 4 laps to go unfortunately the engine said it was done and blew. This was the end of the Qld Title for Brad seeing him finish in 20th position.
Luckily that was the final race for this season and now we focus on fixing the damage to the car and rebuilding the engine for next season.

We are all set up and ready to go for the Super Sedan Qld Title at McCosker Gladstone Speedway. Car had been scrutineered and is good to go. This is Brad's first ever title so his goal for tonight is to make the Amain.

Weekend recap
Night 1, went out for grand parade and hotlaps and had no power steering so pulled it in. Got that fixed ready for heat 1. Started in 9th, got a few laps in and was getting no grip and Brad saw smoke and panicked and pulled to the infield. Unfortunately that's where our night ended as the rain set in quickly after.

Night 2 went out for grand parade and hotlaps, again no grip. Brought it in and tried a different set up. Heat 1 started 2nd finished 8th. Car did not like the set-up. Heat 2 started 5th finished 8th car felt a bit better and lap times improved. Heat 3 started 7th finished 8th. Lap times improved gain and car felt much better. Feature we were starting out of 16th. Lap times were even better again and the car seemed to be liking the track more. Unfortunately 15 laps in we got a flat rear tyre and that was our night done.

Next weekend we are at McCosker Gladstone Speedway for the Qld Title.
