🏆 Major League Sixes returns in 2026!

Australia’s premier Sixes competition is back, with the Marden Sports Complex in South Australia set to host three days of fast-paced action from 19-21 November.

After two hugely successful editions, Major League Sixes has established itself as one of the most exciting events on the Australian lacrosse calendar, bringing together the nation’s best players in a unique franchise competition.

The Sydney Seahawks, Melbourne Makos, Adelaide Redbellies, Perth Manta Rays and Brisbane Salties are all set to return, with the Salties women and Makos men looking to defend their 2025 titles.

Applications are now open for Players, Team Staff and Officials, with the road to MLS 2026 beginning now.

CURRY NIGHT EXTRAVAGANZA! 🍛

Hosted by our amazing U8 Mixed, U11 Girls and U13 Girls teams, this is a great opportunity to relax and catch up with the Bears community. 🐻

ROUND 8 – GAME DAY IS STILL ON!

After the crazy weather we’ve had this week, we’re excited to confirm that all Burnside Lacrosse Club games are going ahead this Saturday! 🙌

From our Senior Bears to our Junior Bears, we’ve got a huge day of lacrosse ahead and we can’t wait to see everyone back out on the field.

ROUND 7 RESULTS 🌧️🥍

A huge effort from all our Bears this weekend, with Saturday’s games pushing through some tough wet weather and rain-soaked conditions. The determination and grit shown across every grade was outstanding!

Well done to everyone who took the field and represented the Bears with pride. Rain, wind or shine, we keep showing up! 🔥🐻💪

ROUND 7 | GAME DAY IS HERE

A huge weekend ahead for our Junior and Senior Bears taking the field across multiple grades!

From our U8s through to State League, every game is an opportunity to compete, improve, and represent the club with pride.

Our Div 1 Women have a bye this weekend so enjoy another weekend off!

The 2025 World Lacrosse International Officiating Award has been presented to Dennis Mulroney at the 2026 Senior Men’s and Women’s National Championship Tournament in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the growth and development of lacrosse officiating worldwide.

A respected leader, official, and administrator for more than 30 years, Dennis has played a pivotal role in advancing officiating standards both in Australia and internationally.

His distinguished officiating career includes refereeing at the 1998 and 2002 Men’s World Championships, where he served as Head Referee for the 2002 gold medal game.

Beyond on-field officiating, he has significantly influenced referee development through roles such as World Championship Referee Assessor, Deputy Chief Referee at the 2018 Men’s World Championship, Australia’s Men’s Field Lacrosse Referee in Chief (2015–2020), and member of the Men’s Officiating Committee (2015–2023).

Dennis also helped shape modern officiating practices by contributing to the World Lacrosse Men’s Field Lacrosse Officiating Manual, authoring its Game Management section, and creating the officials’ evaluation and coaching process used at World Championships since 2014.

His leadership, expertise, and dedication have left a lasting legacy in international lacrosse officiating, making him a highly deserving recipient of the award.

We are especially proud that Dennis is a valued member of the Burnside Lacrosse Club. His achievements reflect not only his personal commitment to excellence but also serve as an inspiration to players, coaches, officials, and the wider lacrosse community.

Congratulations, Dennis, on this well-deserved international recognition. 🥍

Massive congratulations to our Bears Brett Williams and Josh Harris and the SA Men on claiming the 2026 Senior Men’s National Championship! 🏆🔥

An epic 14–10 victory over WA to bring the trophy home and cap off an incredible campaign. What a tournament. What a team. What a way to finish. Proud moment for South Australia! ❤️💛💙
